OUR CHOICE

I grew up together with our roastery. My sister, my cousins and I spent from an early age most of our free time there: We used to play on sacks and compete to see who could stack the boxes better, with as much attention as possible, because we knew that the beans could break. Coffee should be treated with respect, my mother reminded us always that behind a cup of coffee there was not only the work and sacrifices of our family, but also those of many other people, who had grown and harvested that coffee. Many things have changed since then, while others have stayed exactly the same: our determination to learn and grow, the enthusiasm for our coffee and the deep respect for the land and the work of the entire supply chain.

ORGANIC AND CONSCIOUS

Investing in sustainability seemed to us to be the most honest answer. Building the photovoltaic system was the first step, choosing Organic and Fairtrade meant strengthening the company values of respect, knowledge, and well-being. Organic is a trend for many, an opportunity for others. For us it is a choice of responsibility, a commitment to a respectful, safe, and healthy diet. Obtaining a Fairtrade certification was the next step: contributing to a positive and long-term change in some of the poorest countries in the world, by paying farmers a fair price and an additional cash reward to be invested for improving the life of their communities.

A FAIR COFFEE

Fairtrade, in fact, makes direct agreements with small producers, family businesses, associations or cooperatives and guarantees them a fair and stable price. It promotes the direct participation of workers and aims, through education, training and financing programmes at a decent wage, the fight against child labour, gender equality and adaptation to climate changes. That is why our organic coffee really has something more. This is our dream: a good, fair, and unique coffee.
